Who are we?

Firstly, my name is Danielle. I’m a Mam of three from Dublin, and took over Rathmines Glass from my dad Pat in 2012.

Pat my dad, began the company back in the 80’s. His first premises was a back alley in Rathmines. Where he had a van, a pager and my grandad Paddy Tutty as his “office staff”.

My dad has a fantastic personality, and built a huge client base. From domestic clients to commercial clients. Having provided a glazing, mirror and stained glass service to almost every pub, club, restaurant in Dublin.

I began working for him throughout school. Invoicing, doing the phones. My dad being the grafter that he is, had me working hard and really thought me “the ropes” from a young age. I’d be up and down ladders, carrying big sheets of glass… you name it. Along with my brother Patrick. And the other lads.

We’ve had so many staff, work their apprenticeships and on. Some still with us today 30 years later. Some retired, and unfortunately deceased.

The business has grown, from the lane in Grovesnor Square to two premises in Rathmines, on Rathmines Avenue. We provide a full glazing service, and have a stained glass studio. Embracing social media and the ever changing business.

I love putting my own stamp on the company. As a small business, our goal is not to be the cheapest, but simply the best. I hope our customer service and professionalism sets us apart.

We work closely with clients on all size of projects.

And it’s funny, because a lot of my dads initial clients from those early days, their kids come to us now. Whether its mirrors, double glazing or stained glass for their new homes. Or to work in their commercial projects. New generations, old clients… same Rathmines Glass.

Our business is built on reputation and I’m eternally grateful for each one of our clients.
